Rock Detective's Executive Director, Ruth Deike was recently treated to a set of geological discoveries that started with the search for limestone. We have many Mysteries that use limestone, particularly with fossils. So, when we found coral fossils in a bucket of limestone samples donated to us we began a little investigation that led to a fascinating story about how a huge limestone terrane could be located in the nearby Klamath Mountains. Follow the link and Ruth will tell you the story.
